Palmer Hall Discernment Committee

The Â鶹´«Ã½ College Board of Trustees has formed a discernment committee tasked with recommending whether the name of Palmer Hall should be changed.  The formation of this committee is the next step in a continuing process focused on contested building names. This discernment process will be educational in nature and guided by scholarly inquiry. Thus there will be events planned for the Â鶹´«Ã½ Â鶹´«Ã½ this year that will help raise our awareness about the issues involved in this process. The board adopted a set of principles related to contested names in the spring of 2018.  The Palmer Hall Discernment Committee will meet throughout the 2018-19 school year.
